About the Commonwealth Continuity of Support Programme
The Continuity of Support (CoS) Programme provides continuity of support to older people with disability who are receiving state-managed specialist disability services at the time of implementation of the CoS Programme but are not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
CoS provides funding for the following services:
- accommodation support
- community support
- community access
- respite care
- Individual Support Packages (ISP)
Who is eligible?
65 years and over
when the NDIS commences implementation in their region and has not been assessed as eligible for the NDIS under the National Disability Insurance (Becoming a Participant) Rules 2016
an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person aged 50 to 64 years
at the time the NDIS commences implementation in their region and has been assessed as not eligible for the NDIS, and an existing client of state-managed specialist disability services at the time the CoS Programme commences in their region.
